On a lively night at Asbury Park Brewery, I hosted a Live Comic Reading of Rin’s Comet Part I as part of the eclectic event Brewskies with the Brats. The variety show featured everything from dancers to live music—and even a chef—all combining to create an unforgettable experience grounded in creativity and connection.
Reading through Rin’s Comet panel by panel in front of a live crowd gave the story new life, letting its characters and beats land in real time. This marked the second time I’ve performed Part I (the first being during Survifern Season 3), and more importantly, it kicked off the first of four readings planned this year, each one focusing on a different chapter of the story.
These performances are part of the Year of Rin’s Comet, a celebration marking sixteen years of working on this series. Just like the comet in the story, which appears once every sixteen years, this year is all about reflecting on the journey, sharing it live, and inviting new and old audiences alike to experience it together.
Huge thanks to the Brewskies with the Brats team for including Rin’s Comet in such a vibrant lineup. Can’t wait to return for Part II later this year and keep this orbit going.
