Camp Ghost Ranch took place on July 26, and it ended up being one of my strongest events of the year. Hosted in the backyard of the band Were Ghosts Now, this annual summer gathering in Milestone blends live music, local vendors, food trucks, and camping around a bonfire that burns late into the night. Halloween decorations stay up year-round, which gives the whole space a playful, eerie charm. I brought extra lights this time so my table would stay visible after dark, and it made a real difference. The crowd was steady, the energy was good, and I left feeling proud of how well things went.
Most of the people here are locals I see often, which makes the whole event feel casual and familiar. It’s less about networking and more about showing up, sharing your work, and being part of something that’s grown organically over the years. The music lineup was solid, the food was great, and the whole night had that midsummer hum where everything feels alive. I’m glad I got to be part of it again, and I’m already thinking about how to level up for next year’s bonfire.
