First Fridays – Post‑Survifern Recovery Mode

First Fridays last night felt like stepping out of one world and back into another. Survifern had only ended a week ago, and everyone was still in that dazed, half‑present state where you can tell they are physically there but mentally still somewhere in the woods. The energy of Local Summer has officially arrived though, and it is pushing the whole town forward whether anyone is ready or not. I was making jokes about hiding Foe Coins around my table, trying to lighten the mood, while everyone else looked like they were still processing the season. For me, this event was less about selling and more about shifting my brain back into vendor mode after months of production work.
I was set up outdoors this time, which meant dealing with the wind and keeping my display from blowing away, but we made it work. The Transportation Center had its usual mix of music, food, and families drifting through, and even though I was still tired, it felt grounding to be there. The night had that familiar September rhythm, the one where the crowds thin out and the locals take over again. It was simple and steady, and it helped me refocus before heading into the next stretch of events.
