FC3 – A First Step Beyond My Local Community

Updated: 2 days ago

Attending Flower City Comic Con marked a huge step for me, it was my first major comic convention where I had the opportunity to table and sell my art outside of my local community. Over the course of three days, I took on the challenge of presenting my work to a wider audience, navigating the highs and lows of the convention experience.

Standing out proved difficult, and it could have been discouraging, but I chose to treat it as an educational opportunity. Throughout the weekend, I had conversations with fellow creators, exchanging insights and learning what I could improve upon for the next time I hit the convention scene.

It wasn’t just about selling, it was about building connections, observing different approaches, and refining my strategy for future events. Every step is a lesson, and Flower City Comic Con was a valuable one.

Looking ahead, I’m excited to apply what I’ve learned and continue growing as an artist in the convention space!
