Camp Ghost Ranch – 2nd Annual Summer Fest

Updated: Jun 13

Ghost Ranch 2023 was my first time attending, and I had the chance to vend alongside my friend Chelsea, who set up her table right next to mine. Having a familiar face there made the experience even better, especially with the event’s free-flowing, immersive atmosphere.

Unlike most attendees, I was one of the few who stayed overnight in a tent, which added a whole different layer to the experience. Camping brought a mix of quiet moments, late-night conversations, and the feeling of really being part of the environment, rather than just passing through for the day.

The laid-back setting, mix of music and art, and strong sense of community made this event stand out. It wasn’t the usual structured vending experience—people wandered, took their time to engage with vendors, and let the day unfold organically. Some moments were busy, others slower, but that’s part of what makes Ghost Ranch unique.

At one point, triangles and cowbells were passed out, turning the crowd into part of the music. The impromptu rhythm section added to the festival’s loose, collaborative feel, making it clear that this wasn’t just an event—it was something built together in the moment.

Overall, it was a solid introduction to what Ghost Ranch is all about. Less rigid, more interactive, and definitely a place where collaboration and creativity thrive. Excited to see how future years build on this.
