May’s First Friday at Over The Moon Art Studios

The May 2nd First Friday was the perfect way to welcome the warmer months in Asbury Park. With the doors open and vendors spilling into the outdoor space, the energy was vibrant and inviting. The fresh air and lively foot traffic created the ideal setting for meaningful conversations, new connections, and an outstanding night for independent artists.

his event was particularly successful, with a high turnout and strong sales—proof that First Friday continues to be a powerful space for creators to showcase their work. In fact, the first print run of Lab Partners: An "A Night To Remember' Prelude has officially sold out that night, and a second print is already in the works to get it back on the table as soon as possible.

Live performances throughout the night elevated the atmosphere, featuring Midcentury, my good friend Mar Stellium, and Kasey Sanders. Their music blended seamlessly with the artistic energy of the event, making for an unforgettable experience.

Adding to the night’s significance, this First Friday marked the closing of Rolling Perspectives, a bike-themed art installation presented by Second Life Bikes and Over The Moon Art Studios. The exhibit explored the intersection of cycling and creativity, offering a unique visual and cultural experience for attendees.

The blend of creativity and collaboration filled the venue with a dynamic energy, making this First Friday one to remember. Looking ahead, I’m excited to keep building on this momentum, refining the booth setup, and finding new ways to interact with readers and fellow artists.

Until next time, thanks to everyone who stopped by, supported the work, and made the night such a success!
